What is Luzardo?
Luzardo is a cattle records app. Each cow gets a page with her weights, daily gain, shots, breeding, calvings and costs. You can see which cows make you money and which ones are losing it. We're also testing photo weighing, which estimates weight from phone photos.
How does Luzardo help me make more money?
Luzardo puts each cow's costs next to her weights, calvings and health, so you can see which ones pay their way. On Kansas ranches, the most profitable cow-calf producers made about $412 more per cow than the least profitable. Most of that gap came from lower costs. You can't cut costs you don't know.
Does Luzardo work offline?
Yes. Record what you need in the barn, at the chute or out in the pasture. Everything saves on your phone and syncs when you get service again.
When will photo weighing be ready?
We're testing it on partner farms now. We'll open it to everyone only when it's accurate enough to base a sale on. Herds already on Luzardo get it first.
Do I need special equipment?
An iPhone or Android phone.
Is this stressful for the cattle?
No. Photo weighing means taking pictures, not running cattle through the chute. Fewer trips through the chute means less stress on your cattle.
What cattle records does Luzardo keep?
Each cow has her own page, from birth to the day she ships. It holds her weights, daily gain, shots, breeding, calvings and costs. Sort your herd by weight, daily gain or breed to decide who stays and who gets shipped.
Who owns my records?
You do. Export everything as a CSV file, anytime. Share with your vet, bank or buyer only when you choose.
How much does Luzardo cost?
We're still setting prices. Email info@luzardo.tech with your herd size, and we'll send them as soon as they're ready.
What breeds does it work with?
Luzardo's records work with every breed. Photo weighing learns each breed first, from photos of 100 to 1,000 animals per breed depending on the setup, and gets more accurate as more weights come in.
How do I get started?
Download Luzardo from the App Store or Google Play and add your cows. Or send us photos of your notebooks, and we'll set up your herd for you. For photo weighing, we first need to learn your breed on your farm, using your scale or one nearby.
Is Luzardo available in my country?
Luzardo is on the App Store and Google Play worldwide, used by producers in 94 countries. We're testing photo weighing on partner farms now. Email info@luzardo.tech to set up a call.
Can I share my records with my vet, bank or buyer?
Yes, whenever you want. Your records belong to you. Download everything as a spreadsheet and send your vet, bank or buyer what they need.
Can it integrate with my farm management software?
We're working on connecting to other farm software. Until then, you can download your records and open them in Excel. If you need a specific program, tell us.
